History of Nike Killshot 2 Leather
The Killshot 2’s, released August 2019, are an upgraded modern version of the The Original Nike Killshots that came out in 1979. If you’ve been in any large casual office or every day setting, you’ve probably seen one or two people wearing the Nike Killshot 2’s at any given time. Initially released and sold by J.Crew in partnership with Nike, the Killshots became highly sought after due its simple design. It was also pumped up by major publishers like HighSnobSociety. A sturdier feel than similar spinoffs like the Nike Men’s Court Legacy Next Nature Shoes, the Killshot 2 Leather is a Nike classic.

Nike Killshot 2 Leather comfort and style analysis
The look and feel of the Nike Killshot 2 Leather is classic and timeless, but the materials and fit are not top notch.
Nike KillShot 2 Leather Arch Support
When it comes to arch support, the Killshot 2 has none. Its a very basic sneaker with the gum outsole with a simple open celled foamed insole. These are very popular in the workplace but if you’re walking long stretches throughout the day or one area to another in the city, you might want to swap these out with something that has more function.
Nike KillShot 2 Leather – Upper Materials
As shown above, there isn’t whole lot of tech in the Killshot 2’s. Leather materials, rubber, and suede caps make up the entire upper. The leather is ok, not great, and is pretty thin around the toes and sides. Theres a bit of padding around the ankle which is nice, but thats about as much as you get with the extra cushioning. The suede heel and toe caps provide clean aesthetics, but they don’t add much to the overall fit.
The lightweight tongue with the Nike tag and branding is thin too, but it is comfortable because you can barely notice the thickness or size.
Nike KillShot 2 Leather Gum Outsole
The gum outsole is the star of the Killshot 2. With all of the colorways, the gum outsole is consistent with any version. Its thick and heavy duty that can hold up well over time. The tread pattern makes it very grippy on just about any clean surface. It’s very easy to get small pebbles or dirt lodged in the tread pattern, so have something pointy handy that you can use to pick out anything that might get stuck.
Although the materials aren’t top of the line, its hard to argue against how good the silhouette looks. Still worth the purchase given the price.
How do Nike Killshot 2 Leather Look on Feet

- Leather and suede combo with the gum sole

- Classic Nike logo on the padded tongue
- The waffle outsole comes up about an inch to the front of the shoe.
- Goes great with anything – jeans, khakis, chinos, joggers/sweatpants
- Perfect for the office
- Widely available for purchase

How to wear and style Nike Killshot 2 Leather Men’s Shoe
Nike Killshot 2 Leather for the Office: Highly recommend. The Killshot 2’s might be the best fitting office sneaker ever made. Most famous in the tech and casual office setting. They can go with any outfit and can be a good choice for client facing visits and presentations too. They aren’t loud and can fly under the radar with a classic and clean look.
Nike Killshot 2 Leather for casual outing: Recommend. Since the Killshot 2 can go with any type of outfit they’re an easy choice for a casual outing.
Nike Killshot 2 Leather for lounging: Not bad. The Killshot 2’s have a preppy look to them so we’d recommend an athletic or more casual alternative.
