Underfoot Cushioning: Unlike classic flat-soled canvas Converse, the CL98 is upgraded with a plush CX Foam insole. So what that means, is that it provides shock absorption and heel impact protection, making it comfortable enough for long walks, standing at a desk, or chasing your kids around the park all afternoon.
Build Quality: The upper has soft, premium leather with suede overlays. The sole is a gum rubber cupsole and the outsole is designed to resist scuffs and daily pavement wear and tear if you’re walking around town or the city. Even though the CL98 are slightly bulky, it doesn’t feel heavy. More importantly, your feet don’t become small sweatboxes. They vent fairly well for a shoe that has as much padding around the tongue or collar as it does.

Versatility: 8/10. I was going to give it a 9, but since they are slightly bulky it limits the type of pants you can wear.
Everyday Comfort: 9/10. Very solid all around, hard to beat these things up.
Durability: 9/10. Like I said, hard to beat these up. Very solid and sturdy
Overall Value: 8.5/10. They are now harder to find in this specific color-way but if they stay around the $80 mark, they hold solid value. The “Toyota” of sneakers. Great engineering for a solid price
