Part of Nike’s goal of releasing zero waste or carbon by 2025, the Pre-Day is the most eco friendly designed Air Max ever. Currently made from at least 20% recycled materials, the Pre-Day’s still maintain a classic silhouette from the 1970’s but are built with lightweight cutting edge materials that make an ultra modern look.

How do the NIKE AIR MAX PRE-DAY fit
Pros
- True to size if your feet aren’t wide
- The angled heel rubber outsole gives good bounce and support
- The midsole is raised on the heel to showcase the air bubble. Adds an extra inch and gives you extra height
- Secure and athletic fitting
- Comfortable and snug along the sides of the shoe
- Very lightweight
- The waffle outsole is very grippy
- The nylon upper feels breathable and long lasting
Cons
- Will add to your height so if you’re not expecting this it can throw you off
- The heel can feel clunky. The heel is hollowed out but the outsole extends wider than the width of the shoe
- Not built for wide feet
- Recommend getting half a size up if your feet are on the wide side
- Secure yet tight feel along the base of the tongue and heel
- The eye-slit suede like material feel flimsy

The air bubble extends through the midsole to the curved outsole. The midsole is hollowed out to make the exposed air bubble stand out.

Why You Shouldn’t Buy Nike Air Max Pre-day Casual Shoes
If you’re not into wearing recycled materials and don’t want to feel elevated due to the air bubble technology, the Pre-Day’s aren’t for you. The recycled materials can feel too lightweight and potentially flimsy so purchasing a different shoe with solid materials in the upper will be a better fit. If you don’t want to feel the extra height that the Pre-Day’s add, purchase a shoe with a flat outsole, like the Dunks or Reebok Casual Shoes.
Final Suggestions
The Nike Air Max Pre-Day for the Office: Recommend. Its more on the athletic side so I wouldn’t recommend wearing for client visits. Keep the Pre-Day’s within the limits of the office. Since the Pre-Day’s are built with Air Max technology they can withstand long walking commutes to the office or full days on your feet. Extremely comfortable all day wear.
