How do the Nike Dunk Low Retro White Black Panda Hold Up Over Time
So how long do the Nike Dunk Low Retro White Black Pandas last? Over the course of 12 months they held up very well even when exposed to rough conditions. They went through all four seasons – spring, summer, fall, and winter. They were also the unfortunate victim of spilled drinks, food, gum, dirt, and dog poop.
Outside of some scuffing, light staining, midsole yellowing, and inevitable wear on the leather, the Panda Dunks showed they’re the real deal and worth the hype. The materials are solid, durable, and plush to make a well rounded sneaker. The upper leather allows for an easy break in period while the rubber outsole is durable, tough, and grippy. At around the 12 month mark the outsoles did begin to show wear along with the black leather.
How Do Nike Dunk Low Retro White Black Pandas look over time

The Nike Dunk Low Retro White Black Panda showed creasing but thats to be expected since they were in wet conditions. Still, the creasing is at a medium and the black leather overlay showed similar results. The black leather did begin to show wear at the 6 month mark.

The foam tongue with the woven branded Nike logo are one of the hardest places to keep clean, especially if you make the Nike Dunk Low Retro White Black Panda an everyday wear. The material is prone to absorbing water so if you wear the Panda’s in a Northeast city, expect them to stain and yellow. Even after 12 months of wear, the tongue is still fairly clean and has slight discoloration.

The outsole and midsole are both extremely durable but its hard to avoid staining, scuffs, and dirt marks on the white midsole. Still, the midsole hasn’t broken down and just shows blemishes.

The rubber outsoles of the Nike Dunk Low Retro White Black Panda began to show some wear at the 12 month mark but still have solid traction towards the toe and heel.

Along with the foam tongue, the stitched Nike lettering on the heel can show signs of dirt quicker. However, the stitching does hold up.

Over time the midsole keeps its lightweight and cushiony feel. The black overlay leather remains intact where it meets the midsole. The mid stitch in the midsole is tightly integrated but can be difficult to clean once it stains. Its a slight indent/crevice that isn’t the easiest to get into. Since the midsole is white it will eventually stain and yellow over time. The black leather does show stains and water marks easier.

The white leather in the upper is pretty resilient to most weather conditions. It does clean easily but can stain and wear down. The black leather overlay stitching does show minor fraying where it meets the white leather.

The padded collar holds up well too. It has extra cushioning along the sides and heel to make for a very comfortable and roomy fit.
Are Nike Dunk Low Retro White Black Panda good in the rain or snow?
If you get caught in the rain or snow with the Nike Dunk Low Retro White Black Panda on, the rubber outsole is solid but be careful with the upper leather. Since the materials are premium, it’s not great to be in wet conditions for long periods of time. Be sure to wipe down to avoid additional creasing as the leather dries out.
Final Thoughts:
The Nike Dunk Low Retro White Black Panda are worth the buy. Even though it feels like every other person in the world has a pair, the combination of the leather and durable mid/outsole make it worth it. Over 12 months the Panda’s held up well, but be sure to take care of the leather in wet conditions. Keep an eye on the foam tongue and stitched lettering on the heel since those will get dirtier than other parts of the shoe.
Highly recommend the purchase. Can be worn to work, the office, and any social setting.
